Hampton p.161, 163: U/E - Hand Basics by theThirdCartel Hampton p.161, 163: U/E - Hand Basics by theThirdCartel
Upper extremity notes and studies from Hampton's figure drawing book, focusing on the hand.

To approach phalanges, divide the phalangeal portion of the hand length into half (usually on D3, which guides the placement of other knuckles), then make a mark a little past (proximally) that halfway point to designate the end of the proximal phalange and the beginning of the middle phalange.

Photoshop CS6, Intuos 5 with art pen.

It was difficult to know what direction to read at first, the layout is a little confusing, a boarder or clear separation so each section does not run into one another and is easier to read. I like the hand written copy but I would like it darker for readability and some of the writing is not clear. Perhaps a drawing of a hand with the structure inside is needed and a little more foreshortened examples may be needed. The use of colors is nice and any help with the hands is always needed! Worthy effort great information! Thank You!
