um I have this book.... why are you putting this online? I've seen Michael Hampton's work this is a direct copy from the book wtf?

Because these are my personal notes and studies as I study the book. I post them to get feedback on my progress and in case I'm going at it wrong. Under no circumstances do I take credit for the original material nor claim it as my own. In fact, Hampton is credited in both the titles and descriptions of the posts. I have repeatedly encouraged people to buy the book if they like what they see in my notes, because that way they're more likely to get the full benefit of the source material, as I simplify, omit diagrams, rephrase, reorganize, and change/add labels to suit my own learning process.

No need to be rude.

I'm not being rude mate I have the book these aren't progression these are copies direct from the book you can't just post these it would be against copyright law by posting these even though you credit the artist your giving there material away for free onto the internet and that's taking away money from the actual artist I'm not being rude I just know the law... if you want to improve do your own life drawing don't copy stuff directly and paste it on internet...

It's rude when you swear at a stranger the first time you direct a comment at them, mate.

As I've already explained, these are studies I'm doing from the book; of course they would look like the pictures in the book. What else would they look like? Studies and master copies are perfectly legitimate ways to learn; so is soliciting feedback on one's studies in order to improve, online or otherwise. If you're half as versed in copyright law as you claim to be, it'd be obvious that this falls under the doctrine of fair use.

Nothing is being "given away for free" aside from my personal notes and studies. If you bother to read through the comments on my posts, you'd see that several people have actually bought the book on my recommendation, thus I'm not "taking money" from the author, but generating additional revenue instead.

it is a clear copy of the book "wtf" is an expression... calling it swearing is implying there is meaning to internet jargon which if you look online there have been more idiotic and insulting things said on the internet. Making a "copy" of the majority of the book online is something that I would deem wrong. Though it doesn't really matter I've seen people torrent the entire book in about 5 minutes. I bought my book and waited a month for it to come in. As for the rude part I could've said a lot more insulting things no part was intended to be insulting and if you were insulted I suggest you roam the internet a bit further.

You're entitled to your opinion, however ill-conceived it is.

I still think this breaches copyright man I'm no judge or lawyer but I did do business law. I would've consulted the owner of copyright before posting this.

I don't think this breaches copyright, mate. I'm not a judge or a lawyer either, but I did play a space marine in a game. I do not consult anybody before posting this because these are personal studies and fall under Fair Use.

All you've done so far is to repeat your poorly founded opinion ad nauseam without addressing any of the counterarguments. I suggest you 1) look up what a study or a master copy is; 2) look up Fair Use; and 3) realize that legal jurisdiction and criteria vary across the globe, and whatever "business law" you might have "done" might not apply to other parts of the world, assuming it has any relevance to the subject at hand to begin with.

Peace out. 8-)
